About The Position

The Systems Specialist is responsible for performing analysis, design, implementation, and support of operational information systems that enable efficient transportation scheduling and resource management. This role ensures the accuracy, functionality, and reliability of data systems used to produce critical operating schedules and performance reports. Key responsibilities include coordinating, maintaining, and updating schedule databases, vehicle assignments, and operator roster systems. The Systems Specialist ensures data integrity across all scheduling and reporting platforms, implements system enhancements to improve efficiency, and provides technical support and troubleshooting to resolve system-related issues. This position requires strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to interpret complex data and translate business needs into effective systems solutions. The Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity, enhancing scheduling accuracy, and maintaining the overall reliability of system-driven transportation functions.

Requirements

Associate/Bachelor's degree in management information, Computer Science, Transportation Planning or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in database administration or operations analysis in transportation.
Experience in schedule building using computerized application systems.
