About The Position

The Systems & Solutions Trainer leverages technical expertise and sales knowledge to support and drive growth of Kidde Commercial line and partners. This role designs and delivers training programs, webinars, and resources on various technical topics to enhance customer and team capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with low voltage systems, public address systems, Networking, Communications, and Fire Alarm Systems in the Life Safety Industry.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of fire systems and the technical aspects of the Kidde Commercial family of products and in-depth knowledge of the subjects being taught.
  • Sales Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills supported by previous experience and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly. Strong presentation skills with the ability to train on various industry related topics technical know-how.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tailor training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong team-oriented, foster teamwork with improved ideas and resolution to problems. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments. Participate in internal sales meetings to report on partner-facing activities
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and CRM proficiency (e.g.Salesforce).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • On-boarding Support: Provide consultation and training for new customers, ensuring effective product use and addressing product and technical inquiries.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of products.
  • Customer Training: Train customers in the use of Kidde Commercial products and adjacent product lines, ensuring they understand how to maximize their benefits.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in developing proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work with product development and product management/marketing to ensure products support customer needs based on VOC meetings.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the sales process.
  • Develop Training Programs: Design and develop technical training programs tailored to organizational needs.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars on technical subjects in a classroom setting.
  • Create Training Materials: Prepare course materials, presentations, and instructional aids.
  • Assess Training Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer feedback and guidance to trainees to help them improve their technical and sales skills.
  • Manage Training Resources: Ensure training equipment and resources are available and in good working order.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with the latest technological trends and advancements within our industry.
  • Communication: Maintain detailed communication of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions with the Systems Solutions Training Leader and Regional Sales Teams.
