The Florida Department of Environmental Protection protects, conserves and manages the state’s natural resources and enforces its environmental laws. Each position works together as a whole to advance Florida’s position as a world leader in protecting natural resources while growing the state’s economy. This is advanced level position in which the incumbent independently performs complex analytical and technical activities with limited supervision. The role involves developing and implementing solutions using the most appropriate platforms, including the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint), ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, Survey123, Field Maps), and other agency-supported software. The incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining computer programs and system software to store, locate, and retrieve documents, data, and information, and may also develop and maintain websites. The position requires sound decision-making skills to evaluate, plan, and integrate data analysis into actionable solutions, strategies, policies, or recommendations. This position reports to the Program Administrator for Business Planning. In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures, and/or general orders applicable to performing the duties of this position.
