About The Position

NDi is seeking a skilled Systems Programmer (Web/SharePoint) to support NSWCDD's enterprise web applications, SharePoint environments, and collaboration platforms. This role provides hands-on development, sustainment, and troubleshooting of web interfaces, SharePoint solutions, backend integrations, and databases that enable critical mission and business functions across the Command. The ideal candidate is a disciplined developer with strong programming ability, experience building and maintaining websites, and the ability to deliver secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions in a Navy enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • U.S Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • This position requires 5 days onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Please note that up to 40% remote work may become available but this determination will be made at a later stage.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience using programming languages to develop websites and network systems, maintain databases, develop user interfaces, and design/debug websites.
  • Demonstrated experience in: - HTML - JavaScript - CSS - C++
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting SharePoint environments.
  • Strong web development and debugging skills.
  • Ability to design clean, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • Effective communicator able to support technical and non-technical customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated development team
  • Candidate must have one of the following DoD-approved IAT II certifications: - CompTIA Security+ CE - CCNA Security - CySA+ - GSEC - CSA+ - Any other DoD 8570-approved IAT II certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
  • Experience with SharePoint site design, content structures, workflows, and permissions.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online/M365 environments.
  • Experience with SQL databases and basic database integration.
  • Experience using version control and software development best practices.
  • Understanding of DoD cybersecurity, STIG compliance, and secure coding practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop, code, test, and sustain web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C++, and other approved technologies.
  • Build and enhance user interfaces to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Debug issues, implement fixes, and ensure compliance with accessibility and security requirements.
  • Support SharePoint site development, configuration, customization, and maintenance.
  • Implement site layouts, lists/libraries, workflows, and permissions.
  • Assist users with SharePoint functionality and content organization .
  • Maintain and support backend data connections for web and SharePoint applications.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and validate application data integrity.
  • Assist with application-to-database integrations and updates.
  • Conduct testing and verification of new features, updates, and bug fixes.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, and release records.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity staff, and functional stakeholders to ensure proper application performance.
