JOB SUMMARY: The primary duties of this position are to: Analyze software requirements and existing systems to design solutions for new applications or system modifications. Develop new applications and enhancements/corrections to existing applications based on specifications. Consults and performs peer programming with other team members. Performs independent research and consults with enterprise architects, analysts and programmers in the design, selection, and implementation of technical solutions. Performs unit testing and code reviews of standards for build or modifications of DOR software applications

Requirements

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • At least four years of experience in the last six years as a developer/programmer.
  • Experience writing code documentation and troubleshooting errors.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable of relational database concepts.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication skills (i.e., correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and organization of content).
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in requirements gathering.
  • Experience on projects and/or teams using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Experience with developing applications within a low-code environment.
