About The Position

The incumbent of this position will assist with the operation and maintenance of the ServiceNow application. Support will include but not be limited to maintaining system operational performance and modifying ServiceNow to accommodate user’s needs, analyzing data and organizing it into report/dashboards. Additionally, the Systems Programmer will be an integral resource in the integration of ServiceNow modules beyond basic incident management, to include Request, Change, Problem, Service Portal, CMDB, Service Level Management, and other modules as deemed required by the Department.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze and interpret technical data.
  • Ability to work with business users to gather and analyze system requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing applications.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library concepts (ITIL).
  • ServiceNow internal components:( Business Rules, Client Scripts,Table Schema, Javascript, UI Actions, UI Polices, Report, Dashboards, Workflows, Notifications).
  • Ability to identify failure points and develop quick workarounds.
  • Knowledge of information security best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager.
  • Skill in the practical application of ITIL Management processes.
  • Skill in office productivity application support.
  • Ability to develop training programs related to distributed systems components.
  • Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, handle multiple priorities, and assignments.
  • Ability to apply complex problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to focus on getting things done.
  • Ability to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents remotely.
