Spring Veteran Experienced Talent (VET) Program: Systems Operations Associate About this role: The Veteran Experienced Talent (VET) Program is a 6-week direct hire program designed to connect Veterans with meaningful career opportunities. Candidates are hired as full-time employees and will receive support and coaching aimed at ensuring a smooth transition into Wells Fargo. The program includes three half-day Program Orientations led by the Military Talent Team and Learning & Development Facilitators, five weeks of two-hour networking and professional development sessions, and an assigned program Alumni mentor to ease transition, build networks, and foster camaraderie within the cohort. Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations professional to support infrastructure systems by assisting with basic technical issues, reviewing system queries, and updating documentation and procedures. This role works under guidance from experienced team members to identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and share technical information with internal customers while developing an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements. #VETProgram In this role, you will: Provide technical systems support for issues and initiatives related to infrastructure systems, other technical products and services within Systems Operations business area Review basic or tactical technical issues Evaluate queries to extract Systems Operations data Identify gaps in current technology process Recommend appropriate information technology changes Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area Evaluate or review queries, update or write documentation and procedures, and provide related technical training Provide technical information of the supported system area to managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal customers Provide day‑to‑day operational support for infrastructure platforms (storage, virtual hosting, and file/object services) by assisting with monitoring, incident response, and basic troubleshooting under guidance. Support data center migration activities by helping inventory systems, validate configurations, execute migration runbooks, and perform post‑migration checks to ensure service stability. Follow established operational procedures, change management processes, and escalation paths to maintain platform reliability and reduce risk. Collaborate with engineers, operations teams, and internal customers to communicate system status, migration progress, and technical impacts in a clear, professional manner.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Technology Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ months of hands‑on experience supporting engineering or infrastructure platforms, with exposure to storage or virtual hosting technologies (e.g., block, file/object, or virtual environments).
  • Service in any branch of the United States military
  • Must be off active duty no later than the anticipated start date Exceptions: terminal leave and/or traditional Guard or Reserve status. These are eligible
  • Ability to work on-site at approved location listed
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center migration processes
  • Basic scripting with PowerShell or Python
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows Server or Linux systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively
