Spring Veteran Experienced Talent (VET) Program: Systems Operations Associate About this role: The Veteran Experienced Talent (VET) Program is a 6-week direct hire program designed to connect Veterans with meaningful career opportunities. Candidates are hired as full-time employees and will receive support and coaching aimed at ensuring a smooth transition into Wells Fargo. The program includes three half-day Program Orientations led by the Military Talent Team and Learning & Development Facilitators, five weeks of two-hour networking and professional development sessions, and an assigned program Alumni mentor to ease transition, build networks, and foster camaraderie within the cohort. Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled and reliable Systems Operations Associate to join our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of Linux based systems in a 24/7 enterprise environment. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, performance, and security, while contributing to automation efforts and continuous service improvement. This position requires troubleshooting skills, a fundamental understanding of the Linux operating system, and the ability to work effectively in a fast -paced, collaborative environment. #VETProgram In this role, you will: Provide technical systems support for issues and initiatives related to applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services within Systems Operations business area Review basic or tactical technical issues Identify gaps in current technology process Recommend appropriate information technology changes Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area Evaluate or review queries, update or write documentation and procedures, and provide related technical training Provide technical information in the supported system area to managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal customers

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Technology Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Service in any branch of the United States military
  • Must be off active duty no later than the anticipated start date Exceptions: terminal leave and/or traditional Guard or Reserve status. These are eligible
  • Ability to work on-site at approved location listed
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position

  • Hands-on experience with patching and system updates

  • Ability to support high‑availability of environments and clustering technologies
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow and Jira for ticketing, reporting, and dashboards
  • Ability to build PowerBI or Tableau dashboards
  • Strong documentation and clear communication skills
  • Proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams (network, storage, application teams)
  • Experience working in highly regulated Financial Technology (FinTech) environments
  • Service in any branch of the United States military
