MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering Provides Tier I-II support for system and network operations to include configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise IT infrastructure Performs troubleshooting of servers, network devices, and operating systems Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Participates in special projects as required

Requirements

  • AS/AA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience; military experience preferred
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of the associated hardware, software and equipment
  • Network+, CCNA, or SEC+ is required
  • SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification
  • Superb communication skills
  • Must be able to perform with minimal guidance
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
  • Provides Tier I-II support for system and network operations to include configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Performs troubleshooting of servers, network devices, and operating systems
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Provide network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the network infrastructure
  • Provide expertise in configuration, management and viability of primary switches, all remote nodes, and various communications devices
  • Coordinate requirements in conjunction with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), as necessary, to resolve failures of interfaces and networks
  • Develop operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex network environment
