Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field)
3+ years of experience in software development (Python, C/C++, MATLAB, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in prototyping, fabrication, or diagnostics
Knowledge of energy storage systems, including lithium-ion batteries and related conversion technologies
Experience with system integration, control systems or product testing
Solid understanding of engineering documentation, schematics and CAD tools

Nice To Haves

Experience with recreational vehicle and marine applications
Familiarity with thermal and fluid systems
Knowledge of safety standards and standards in energy systems
Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams within a cross divisional global company

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software tools and embedded systems that interface with energy devices
Design, implement, and develop system level functional tests
Apply systems engineering principles to optimize integration of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems
Conduct diagnostics, build prototypes, and perform validation tests in lab and field settings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end product development cycles
Document processes, code and design decisions clearly and accurately
Stay up to date with industry trends in renewable energy, advanced technologies and mechanical systems
