In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. This position is based out of our Hudson, NH facilities. BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineering Lead to spearhead the design, build, and operationalization of System Integration Laboratories (SILs) supporting our EA-37B Compass Call programs. This critical role requires a proactive leader capable of managing a multifaceted engineering effort from initial concept through full operational capability, with a strong focus on detailed planning and execution. Your responsibilities will include: Lead a multifunctional team in the design and implementation of both Mini-SILs and Full System Integration Labs for Foreign Military Sales programs, leveraging existing technologies and infrastructure. Manage the entire lab lifecycle: encompassing procurement, installation/build, integration, testing, and transition to operational status. This includes meticulous attention to detail to ensure timely material ordering and installation. Establish and enforce a disciplined design process to ensure accurate and complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) are generated and maintained as a single source of truth. Develop and maintain a detailed MS Project schedule that accurately reflects material lead times, delivery status, and lab build-up phases. Implement a phased lab build-up approach that allows for incremental testing and utilization of lab capabilities as key materials arrive, maximizing team productivity. Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering, Hardware, and Software Development teams throughout all phases. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and opportunities impacting the lab build and operation. Ensure adherence to the Systems Engineering Capstone process, from initial design through certification. Oversee problem/anomaly reporting, tracking, and resolution, coordinating efforts to achieve swift and effective solutions. Partner with Procurement and Program Management to maintain project schedules and budgets. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including escalating critical issues to higher-level management as appropriate. Coordinate the work of technicians and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of tasks. Collaborate with IT and Security teams to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) for the labs.
