About The Position

The Transportation Solution Division within the Leidos Civil group is seeking Systems, Integration and Software Engineer Interns who will be a member of a dynamic team working on one of several Air Traffic Management programs including: En-Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System, providing the foundation for NexGen functions Time-Based Flow Management (TBFM), is a system used in air traffic control to manage the flow of aircraft into congested airspace by assigning a specific time for each aircraft to reach a certain point. It shifts the focus from managing separation distance to managing arrival times, allowing controllers to optimize the flow of traffic, reduce delays, and decrease fuel consumption.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program in a relevant discipline, for example, engineering, computer science.
  • Exposure to system engineering, software engineering, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
  • Candidates must be US Citizens
