We’re seeking talented Systems Engineers (SE) with expertise in Hardware Engineering to join our team in the Fort Meade, Maryland area . This is your chance to leverage your Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) experience to support national defense goals and objectives.

  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with the defined system architecture(s) (e.g., DoDAF, SOA).
  • Assist in developing system and functional requirements, allocating them to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, and program reviews that require cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Contribute to Integrated Product Teams by designing new capabilities based on developmental and operational evaluations.
  • Allocate real-time process and error budgets to system and subsystem components.
  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
  • Define verification methods, processes, and evaluation criteria to ensure systems, subsystems, and work products meet requirements.
  • Develop system design solutions that meet system requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
  • Provide input for program and contract work breakdown structures, work packages, and the integrated master plan.
  • Assist in developing system engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Define and manage interface design changes throughout the system’s lifecycle.
  • Analyze stakeholder needs and derive lower-level requirements that are complete, correct, and verifiable.
  • Develop Information Assurance requirements and security mechanism technologies, including cryptography, access control, and key management.

  • Knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
  • Experience with ModelSim for VHDL or Verilog HDL coding, simulations, and Xilinx tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Years of Experience: Level 0: 0 years of experience (or 5 years without a BA). Level 1: 7 years of experience (or 12 years without a BA). Level 2: 14 years of experience (or 19 years without a BA). Level 3: 20 years of experience (or 25 years without a BA).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
  • familiarity with operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows.
