About The Position

The NI ADG (Aerospace, Defense, Government Business Unit) Customer Centric Solutions Team is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Hardware Analog Engineer to work on system design and test engineering opportunities. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers to define, document, design, and deploy NI test systems tailored to meet specific customer requirements. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design. IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: Collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, alliance partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to define, design, test, and deploy tailored NI test systems. Translate diverse technical requirements into clear design deliverables while partnering with the project’s technical lead. Develop and track project plans, establish milestones, and lead reviews to ensure system readiness and alignment with customer needs. Provide support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting, addressing technical inquiries, and occasional onsite assistance. Travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%) as needed to support project objectives and cross‑team collaboration. FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in hardware systems design, test engineering, or a similar role. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and system design. Familiarity with high‑level programming languages such as LabVIEW, VeriStand, or Python. Experience collaborating with internal and external partners on system‑level engineering projects. Hands‑on experience with system‑level verification, validation, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting. Ability to travel up to 10% - 20% yearly Status as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with eligibility to work on ITAR projects and obtain DoD clearances. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: Experience working with NI hardware platforms, instrumentation, LabVIEW, and VeriStand. Knowledge of compliance certifications (e.g., CE, UL, TUV). Additional experience supporting test and measurement system design or test activities. A track record of working effectively in diverse, multicultural environments. Requirements
