About The Position

The Systems Engineering Project & Process Leader will provide leadership for initiatives with broad scope & high business impact. They will have a demonstrated record of project leadership and process excellence. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in gas turbine engines
  • This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and program management leadership
  • Develop collaborative solutions working across horizontal support organizations
  • Formulate and guide teams toward implementation plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
  • Provide leadership defining test plans that meet program objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams, mentor others in the organization.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Provide leadership to help focus and integrate new technologies smoothly into NPI programs and production
  • Support proposals
  • Support the teams in modernizing design and systems engineering processes with lean tools.
  • Facilitate and moderate systems processes such as program tech reviews
