Systems Engineering Project Manager

About The Position

Leidos is currently seeking an experienced individual for a role supporting a dynamic customer acquisition program office. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning; system hardware, software, and network design; development and integration; verification and validation; and fielding. The candidate will also continuously evaluate technical alternatives, including risk, supportability, and system-level analyses. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Provide technical advice and input to the customer’s Chief Engineer to help establish the strategic foundation for critical national capabilities and future initiatives Continually assess the customer’s business practices and recommend new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans to improve mission effectiveness Serve as the Chief Engineer’s technical lead on large, complex projects Resolve highly complex, multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of programs or projects Lead development of highly innovative products and solutions through collaboration with subject matter experts Execute systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DoD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to anticipate and prepare responses and briefing materials for senior USG leadership on program-specific matters
  • BA/BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or MA/MS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities
  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance in order to be considered
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information

Responsibilities
