Summary: We have an opportunity for a Systems Engineering Intern, located at our facility in Littleton, CO or Chantilly VA, In this role you will help us define, develop, model, and test our digital engineering ecosystem. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the application of model-based systems engineering, and digital engineering in general to help us leverage the full potential of a holistic integrated modeling and simulation environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university and pursuing a BS or MS in Systems Engineering or another technically related field
  • We are looking for candidates who strive for excellence in all aspects of their College or University experience as demonstrated by the results of their coursework, projects, lab work, workshops, internships, and other collegiate activities. We are also looking for candidates who are creative, resourceful, open-minded, and driven to succeed
  • US citizenship or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations
  • Familiarity with space systems engineering including an understanding of space vehicle design, space system architecture development or space missions and operations development
  • Understanding of SysML and MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering)
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (a.k.a., Magic Cyber Systems Engineer)
  • Experience with Ansys digital engineering tools such as STK, Thermal Desktop, Model Center, Behavior Execution Engine (BEE), and HFSS
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear and concise technical documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with one or more additional digital engineering tools such as Jama or SolidWorks
  • Experience presenting technical information in a group setting
  • Previous internships a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help build SysML models of the digital engineering ecosystem and space systems
  • Use Ansys modeling and simulation tools to visualize and analyze space missions, systems, and components
  • Develop, document, and test tool integration methods and processes
  • Plan, document, execute, and present demonstrations of digital ecosystem capabilities
  • Potential to work with business development, marketing, IT, and other business areas to communicate and incorporate digital engineering into proposals and infrastructure
