Lanteris Space Systems is currently seeking a Systems Engineering intern for our Palo Alto, CA location. Systems Engineering encompasses work that focuses on a collection of system elements that makes up a larger system, for example a satellite platform, a complete satellite (platform and payload), or a full end-to-end system (satellite and ground stations). Ensuring that a system works as intended includes the development of key processes to handle requirements flow-down management, requirement verification planning, and system element interface requirements definition. Systems engineers are involved in all phases of the product lifecycle including architecture development, interfaces, fault management analysis and design, requirements decomposition, verification planning, and on-orbit operation procedure development. Systems engineers also provide production support by reviewing test data during critical test phases and overseeing the resolution of production anomalies. This is a requisition for the summer of 2026 intern position with involvement in the design & production system engineering products related to our Lanteris 1300TM commercial platform programs. Specific tasks may include systems budgets, gated review preparation, supporting systems engineers in platform production (data review, anomaly resolution), manage top-level systems budgets (under supervision) for new program proposals, other systems engineering support for new program proposals, support V&V (validation and verification) close-out activities for deliveries, create command sequence generation tools, work on interface control documentation.
