Requirements

  • Currently, pursuing final year master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Controls, or a related field
  • Academic coursework in power electronics, control systems, or energy systems
  • Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, including requirements, interfaces, and verification concepts
  • Ability to perform structured technical analysis and clearly communicate results
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Python, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Support system architecture development for the NX inverter, including operating modes, functional decomposition, and interface definition
  • Develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements, including traceability to hardware, firmware, and controls requirements
  • Assist in trade studies and design analyses (e.g., performance, efficiency, thermal, reliability considerations)
  • Contribute to system-level modeling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) to evaluate inverter behavior and control interactions
  • Support system integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities, including test planning, execution, and results analysis
  • Participate in root cause and failure analysis for system-level issues observed during lab or field testing
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, controls, mechanical, and test engineering teams
