Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer for Advanced Development Programs/Skunk Works. As a member of the Embedded Training (ET) team, you will play a significant role in enhancing the combat readiness of both national and international F-35 pilot fleets. You will leverage strong troubleshooting skills and work in a cutting edge lab environment to integrate the multiple software applications that comprise the overall ET solution. You will also apply core systems engineering principles to plan and execute a comprehensive suite of test activities, ensuring the ET software achieves full (100 %) requirements coverage and meets the highest operational standards. Finally, you will bring strong organizational and collaborative skills to coordinate these integration and test activities across multiple teams. Must be a US Citizen. This position requires the applicant to have or obtain at least an Interim Secret clearance before starting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development or related degree from an accredited college.
  • Software development experience in an OO language such as: Java, Python or C++.
  • This position requires a Secret clearance. Candidate must be able to obtain clearance for this role.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Cameo, Rhapsody, or other model-based software development
  • Python, and/or PERL Python
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
  • Experience and/or certification(s) in Agile / Scrum methods preferred (+DevSecOps a big plus)
