The Boeing Company is seeking a Requirements Systems Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the KC-46 Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software team in Tukwila, WA, supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software throughout the full software development lifecycle. The individual will review, analyze, and translate customer requirements and technical specifications for stakeholders, and be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software components and functionalities for systems integrations. The company is looking for a leader passionate about aerospace, eager to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment, supporting software design, development, and implementation for government and international programs. The position requires demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer, knowledge of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test), and superior judgment and decision-making skills to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are essential. The Boeing KC-46 “Pegasus” is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft, a military commercial derivative based on the Boeing 767-2C, designed for multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift, equipped with self-protection, defensive, and communication systems.
