About The Position

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. We are seeking motivated, creative, and exceptional people to join our world-class team. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support our NASA Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) program. This role will play a key part in coordinating system-level activities, verification, and compliance across multiple areas as LTV efforts ramp up alongside the FLIP program. The Systems Engineer will act as a bridge between engineering, certification, and program management to ensure alignment with NASA standards, rapid development cycles, and mission-level objectives. Employment in this role is contingent on Astrolab being selected as a winner of NASA’s LTVS program, scheduled for announcement on November 15, 2025.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering practices applied to spacecraft systems
  • Knowledge of NASA systems engineering practices
  • Technical proficiency in one or more of the spacecraft subsystems
  • Experience with rapid spiral development methodologies
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with JIRA or similar requirements-tracking tools

Responsibilities

  • Support hands-on system-level integration and verification activities
  • Coordinate requirement tracking, compliance documentation, and performance validation
  • Engage with engineering and certification teams to maintain design traceability and alignment
  • Apply experience with NASA programs, standards, and handbooks
  • Understand each of NASA’s SRD requirements and document verification methods
  • Track and document the verification of each requirement
  • Analyze the 15 LTV performance metrics and collaborate with engineering to maintain a consistent chain of calculations
  • Document and track key parameters that trace system requirements into the design
  • Analyze interface requirements documents and establish verification methods
  • Use computer tools to publish and maintain verification records
  • Capture, report, and analyze quality objective data
  • Participate in management review meetings and internal or external audits
  • Manage documentation and train team members in this process
  • Support goals and objectives of AS9100
