About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer for a position in the Chantilly, VA area. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered. The Systems Engineer will work in a group that is working to replace an out of date and fragile system with a modern replacement. The group will then be focused on the rollout of a brand new messaging system. The Systems Engineer will be provide technical direction, guidance and manage software trends across the project. Duties will also include but not limited to performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system documentation. The Systems Engineer will serve as the primary focal point of contact for several enterprise systems. In this role the candidate will need to frequently interact with senior level Customers to provide innovative solutions and provide feedback. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with at least 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience Risk Management Framework
  • Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle software development project performing all phases of a rigorous software development methodology with the ability to identify gaps, mitigate technical risk, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical problems
  • Hands on experience with Agile development processes
  • Demonstrated experience with System Documentation
  • Experience with Java for Software Development
  • Experience with Puppet
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Experience with SQL

  • Demonstrated experience with AWS
  • Excellent Communication Skills
