About The Position

Our client is searching for a Systems Engineer V to support program missions. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. The candidate will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts for highly classified systems, while also effectively communicating complex results with management and executive leadership. You will work in the engineering group and across teams where your contributions are directly responsible for the success of the program.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI
  • Education and Years of Experience: Master’s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Recognized as an industry leader in systems engineering, preferably in a DoD/USAF C2ISR context
  • Able to initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from project inception to conclusion for complex programs
  • Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
  • Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
  • Consults with client to define the need or problem
  • Supervises studies and leads surveys to collect & analyze data toward providing a recommended solution
  • Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition
  • Security+ certification

Nice To Haves

  • Respective SME certification (i.e. IAT Level III (CISSP), Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft MCSE, AWS SysOps Engineer, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Directs execution of AF DCGS integration efforts in multiple geographical locations
  • Provides AF DCGS Desktop Common Workstation (DCW) support for workstations leveraging virtualization technology in a secure enterprise environment
  • Responsible for hardware/software installation and problem analysis and resolution, software installation and configuration, responding to service outages, and acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for all facets of the customer’s workstation
  • Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems as current as possible with changing technology
  • Communicates with Multiple AF DCGS Stakeholders to discuss status and resolve/escalate issues
  • Provides technical guidance to Tier 1 and 2 personnel
  • Up to 10% travel (CONUS and OCONUS)
