This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Are you an enthusiastic individual with a strong planning background that can thrive in an exciting fast-paced dynamic environment? The Systems Engineer will support the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment team in the development and refresh of mechanical support equipment for the FBM program. In this dynamic role you will: Conduct systems engineering tasking associated with the development of mechanical ground support equipment requirements, design and testing. Provide technical expertise supporting a team of systems engineers, including project leadership and planning Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, manufacturing, facilities, and program management, to ensure successful project execution Identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing process improvements and standardization to drive efficiency and affordability

Requirements

  • Experienced in developing Systems Engineering requirements documentation within Jira, or Cameo or DOORs.
  • Experienced working with test teams for requirements development and verifications.
  • Direct experience in applying systems engineering practices to mechanical ground support equipment and facilities/Class 3 equipment
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windchill and/or EPDM product data management toolset
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices (Cameo preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management, program office, and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and affordability
