Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates systems for a variety of national security mission partners for a growing program in SPP Mission area. This a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to the nation's National Security Enterprise. A significant focus on this position will be cross-organization relationships and collaborative problem solving. This role will interface with program teams, Cross BA teams, customers, Executive leadership, and as such the candidate must have shown success in working with customers (internally and externally) to mutually agreeable outcomes. What does this role look like? The External Integration Studies Lead will lead launch study efforts across SEIT, Spacecraft/ATLO, Ground, Launch Vehicle and various government organizations. This position provides is the program point of contact for the Launch System Integration Working Group and is responsible for execution of a specific integration study. Post-study, the position will be a part of executing integration efforts across the system development lifecycle. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assessing system performance against different host interfaces Ensure the logical conversion of Launch Interface and Launch processing requirements into the appropriate documents Managing the execution of Launch System Integration Working Group Performing interface coordination with internal SMEs across the team to ensure LM artifacts are developed and reviewed prior to customers submittal. This includes the ICD Verification and internal review boards Developing and delivering objective evidence products for major design reviews Important Details The successful candidate must also have ability to successfully collaborate with groups of engineering personnel, and be creative and dedicated to anticipating problems and issues before they happen in order to mitigate them and maintain schedule Current or Active Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. A successful candidate will typically possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8+ years of related professional work experience This role does not support teleworking and the selected candidate MUST be able to work onsite at our Littleton, CO campus.
