Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates systems for a variety of national security mission partners for a growing program in SPP Mission area. This a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to the nation's National Security Enterprise. A significant focus on this position will be cross-organization relationships and collaborative problem solving. This role will interface with program teams, cross BA teams, customers, Executive leadership, and as such the candidate must have shown success in working with customers (internally and externally) to mutually agreeable outcomes. What does this role look like? As a Systems Engineer for Requirements and Verification you will:

Requirements

  • Current or Active Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
  • A successful candidate will typically possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related professional work experience
  • This role does not support teleworking and the selected candidate MUST be able to work onsite at our Littleton, CO campus.
  • Current/Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using CAMEO or similar tools
  • Systems requirements experience with verification, development, management, and validation
  • ICD development and verification experience
  • Experience creating and executing test plans

Nice To Haves

  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) SME
  • Experience performing in a Systems Engineering role on a large and complex hardware and software development efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and critical thinking skills, translating ideas into actions and results
  • Demonstrated experience with development and delivery of space subsystems and components
  • Strong mission and end-to-end systems expertise
  • Prior SAP access

Responsibilities

  • Develop/analyze/verify system level requirements and document & manage accordingly.
  • Coordinate with customer and other contractors to execute verification analyses and tests.
  • Organize/coordinate domain expert objective evidence creation and documentation.
  • Organize/coordinate system level technical reviews.
  • Support all phases of the program lifecycle (development, production, and post production)
  • Build successful teams with internal stakeholders (engineering, ATLO, SEIT members of other segments) and external stakeholders (customer, external segment providers, USG organizations)
  • Be accountable to the Chief Sytem Engineer for executing engineering efforts on schedule
  • successfully collaborate with groups of engineering personnel, and be creative and dedicated to anticipating problems and issues before they happen in order to mitigate them and maintain schedule
