About The Position

As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work with customers that are both Government and industry leaders and technology innovators. We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-level Systems Engineer to to apply a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to requirements and solutions engineering, systems integration, testing and evaluation, reliability and resiliency engineering, service development, scheduling, and maintainability analysis. This role supports mission-critical initiatives across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partnering Federal Agencies to ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and high-quality GEOINT capabilities. Please note - this position is not a systems administration role. Instead, it is focused on the "system of systems" type engineering following much of the INCOSE standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years' of Mid-level Systems Engineering experience in government or industry.
  • Experience supporting large, complex systems, including System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or cloud-based environments.
  • Working experience with one or more of the following government processes: DoD / Intelligence Community (IC) acquisition processes Requirements development and management processes Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Ability to sit and work in a cubicle on a workstation in a SCIF for approximately eight (8) hours each workday for an average of five days per week
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. Must be able to easily exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Ability to successfully perform the core skills listed above
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 6 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of degree.
  • 12+ years of systems engineering experience w/ High School Diploma
  • 6+ years of systems engineering experience w/ Bachelor's Degree
  • Requirements analysis and traceability across the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Systems integration support within complex technical environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations: ACSM ASCE ASPRS OGC SAREM USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, solution design, integration, testing, evaluation, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability.
  • Analyze and translate user and mission requirements into system and capability requirements, ensuring full traceability from architecture to implementation.
  • Design and evaluate system architectures, workflows, and cloud service capabilities, identifying opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.
  • Develop technical solutions leveraging emerging technologies, while mentoring junior engineers and helping grow their systems engineering skillsets.
  • Support government stakeholders with systems integration, execution planning, and architecture allocation across programs.
  • Contribute to systems integration efforts, ensuring seamless alignment across platforms, services, and operational environments.
  • Participate in Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and comprehensive engineering assessments.
  • Assist Government teams with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk identification and mitigation, and interface design
