The Systems Engineer IV requires in-depth knowledge and breadth of expertise in the Systems Management field. This role involves leading others to solve complex challenges and may lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements. The position also entails performing intermediate troubleshooting of system outages and performance problems, updating configuration baselines, supporting environment drift correction, and executing system changes including patching, deployments, and storage expansions. Furthermore, the Systems Engineer IV is responsible for validating systems after changes, providing detailed documentation, supporting the integration of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools, performing data restores, validating backup correctness, and ensuring system readiness for deployments and major releases. Maintaining CMDB and inventory accuracy and guiding P3 engineers on system best practices are also key aspects of this role.
