About The Position

Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, we operate in all 50 states. Position Overview We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer Sr to join the team at either our Palmdale or Ft Worth sites. The engineer will: Manage isolated (closed) environments (including DoD cloud) for assigned programs Apply patches, manage compliance and deploy infrastructure Perform systems administration, modernization, optimization, and performance tuning on Linux, Windows Server, VMware ESXi, and EMC storage platforms

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship (required for this facility)
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain Security+ Certification (or equivalent) within 90-days of start.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience with DoD Cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and compliance framework
  • 3 + years administering RHEL 8 (or equivalent) and Windows Server 2022/Windows 11
  • Automation experience with Ansible and PowerShell (scripting, config‑drift remediation)
  • Ability to lift 30 lb (rack‑mount hardware)

Nice To Haves

  • Hands‑on implementation of DISA STIGs and use of security tools (e.g., Nessus, Trellix, Ivanti, Splunk)
  • Active Secret or Top‑Secret/SCI clearance
  • Advanced certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, Azure AZ‑800, AWS SysOps, VMware VCP (or similar)
  • Virtualization experience: VMware vSphere/vCenter, Horizon, vSAN/VxRail
  • Enterprise storage administration (NetApp/EMC) and disaster‑recovery procedures
  • Container/Kubernetes knowledge and GitOps practices (Docker, Helm, Argo CD/Flux)
  • Monitoring/observability platforms (Dynatrace, Nagios, Prometheus‑Grafana, Splunk)
  • Possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CASP, CISSP)
