About The Position

Systems Engineer II - "W-TRS" Fort Irwin, California NTC Job Summary: V2X is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who wants to be part of a high functioning multi-discipline team focused on making our customer’s missions successful. This role provides systems engineering rigor and discipline to the sustainment operation, and modernization of the National Training Center (NTC) Instrumentation system and supporting networks. â This role is responsible for establishing requirements and developing and implementing test and evaluation master plan (TEMP) for NTC instrumentation system and supporting networks. Furthermore, this position conducts testing of the systems in preparation of rotations and supports troubleshooting during rotations. Finally, this position will collaborate with the other CTCs in an effort to drive to common requirements, test methodologies and solutioning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related engineering development experience working in the DoD industry.
  • Experience in full lifecycle systems engineering practices and principles in an enterprise system domain
  • Experience in developing and sustaining requirements for complex systems
  • Experience with complex system integration and test
  • Very strong organizational and team development skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Configuration Management, Mission Assurance)
  • Experience briefing (both written and oral) effectively to all levels of the organization, from peers to senior management and DoD customers
  • Experience mentoring engineers of all grade levels.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Active DoD Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Combat Training Center (CTC) operations and rotational support
  • Experience in the application of Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Master’s degree in engineering, or other relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience working on international programs.
  • Experience in capture management: create/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, tech volumes, proposals.
  • Experience with multi-level security solutions
  • Experience with commercial-off-the-shelf security technologies and trusted products
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering principles and methods
  • Experience in Network Design, implementation and support.
