About The Position

Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. (CPC) is seeking an experienced and well-qualified full-time Systems Engineer II to provide engineering support to the Standoff Target Reacquire Identification Detection and Navigation Tool (STRIDENT) program located in Panama City, Florida. Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure. Provide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operation of databases. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements. Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results. Depicts complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Technical Degree
  • CompTIA Security Certification
  • Requires an active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide sustainment support such as engineering investigations, trade studies, supply chain management and sustainment services.
  • Develop and maintain lists, drawings, material, process, and software specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a Failure Reporting and Analysis and Corrective Action System to establish data collection and failure-reporting.
  • Prepare configuration items including ECPs, RFWs, Notices of Revisions, or Specification Change Notices.
  • Prepare Preliminary Engineering Change Proposals for equipment and software changes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Risk Management process to identify/evaluate program risks.
  • Protect critical information: facts about intentions, capabilities, operations, and activities that might be need by adversaries or competitors to bring about failure or unacceptable consequences of mission accomplishment
  • Provide input for monthly reporting and deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned by program manager and/or technical instruction and contract requirements
