Why You'll Love This Role As a Systems Engineer I, you will be part of a dynamic team working on mission-critical systems that process and archive remote sensing data. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, and contribute to projects with global impact. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Three years of continuous residency in the US for issuance of a Government Security credential
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hiring to obtain a badge for government facility access and user account
  • Experience and/or Education in lieu of these qualifications will be reviewed for applicability to meet these requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to conduct trade studies for technology upgrades, cloud services, and software updates
  • Experience with cloud solutions
  • Knowledge of image processing, database management, and software development
  • Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Jira, and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence applications in Systems Engineering
  • Experience with Git

Responsibilities

  • Develop systems that meet requirements within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
  • Develop and document requirements, operational concepts, interface control documents, integration and test plans, and test cases
  • Design and research system interfaces to ensure integration and functionality of complete systems
  • Perform engineering and mathematical computations and analyze technical data from tests and studies
  • Prepare clear technical reports and supporting visuals
  • Create and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery of system components and milestones
  • Collaborate with team members and prepare and lead milestone reviews
  • Manage priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Communicate technical details and system concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
