About The Position

The Emerging Concepts and Technologies (ECT) group at SNC is a cutting-edge technology incubator focused on solving our customers’ most challenging problems. We leverage Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment in innovative ways to quickly deliver capabilities that ensure mission success. As part of our team, you will collaborate with a small, multi-disciplinary group to design, model, build, test, and deploy solutions tailored to specific operational needs. Our work involves multi-modal sensors and effectors—including RF, acoustic, and more—across a wide range of manned and unmanned platforms, from low SWaP-C (Size, Weight, Power, and Cost) systems to large exquisite systems. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline.
  • Familiarity with C and/or C++.
  • Familiarity with Python or similar scripting language
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Software Defined Radios
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) Technology and Digital Signal Processing Systems
  • Familiar with Git/GitHub for version control, code review, and collaboration
  • Comfortable working with remote Linux machines from the command line

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team to rapidly provide solutions to customer challenges
  • Design, develop, document, test and debug software and hardware systems.
  • Elicit, derive, and document software and hardware system requirements to meet internal or external customer specifications
  • Collaborate with SW and EE engineers to ensure system requirements are met
  • Integrate software and hardware components
