As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills in key areas such as requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will assist in system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management under supervision. You will contribute to project tasks with basic knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management, while effectively communicating and collaborating with team members. You are expected to demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow within the field. Requirements

• Basic understanding of Systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Must have been a SNC Summer 2025 Intern
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
• Basic Understanding of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
• Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.

Nice To Haves

• Internship or cooperative education experience in systems engineering.
• Basic knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Understanding of requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.
• Knowledge of industry-standard system engineering design principles, to include, classical and MBSE.
• Experienced or certified in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)].
• Familiarity with baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives.
• Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
