About The Position

Lockheed Martin: An Award-Winning Place to Work THE WORK Lockheed Martin’s RMS team is building the next‑generation air‑mobility platform for the Future Long‑Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). We need a seasoned Systems Engineer who can provide hands‑on field technical support, ensure avionics readiness, and drive rapid problem resolution for our mission‑critical aircraft. This position will require training of approx. 6-12 months on a TDY to Owego, NY location. Upon completion of training, the permanent position will based in Huntsville, AL. First assignment will be TDY to: Lockheed Martin - RMS 1801 State Route 17C Owego NY Permanent location: Lockheed Martin – RMS, 1200 Redstone Gateway SW, Huntsville, AL 35808

Requirements

• Candidate must have an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start of employment
• Ability to obtain Final Secret Clearance
• 5 years or more of Aircraft Avionics systems experience
• Solid avionics hardware trouble shooting skills
• Strong customer interface
• Knowledge and ability to use wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, technical orders, and performed time compliance technical orders, time changes, and one-time inspections
• Must be able to travel on TDY to Owego, NY site for approx. 6 - 12 months for required training at start of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarization of Computer & Information systems
• Familiar with helicopters or other aviation platforms
• MS Office Skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft avionics systems
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain associated aircraft avionics components, subsystems, and test equipment
• Solve maintenance problems using wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, technical orders, and performed time compliance technical orders, time changes, and one-time inspections
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Complete aircraft and equipment forms and Maintenance Information System documentation
• 30% travel is expected for this position.
