About The Position

We are seeking a Systems Engineer (SE3) with deep expertise in Cisco network automation to design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated enterprise network infrastructure. In this role, you will build scalable automation capabilities that improve network reliability, visibility, and operational efficiency. You will work as part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing infrastructure tooling within a CI/CD-driven environment , with the opportunity to identify problems, implement automation, and see your solutions actively used in production. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy modern network automation, policy-driven infrastructure, and hands-on systems engineering.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco enterprise technologies , including Catalyst Center, ISE, Cisco SD-WAN, and enterprise routing and switching.
  • Proficiency in network automation and scripting .
  • Expert understanding of enterprise networking protocols and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
  • Experience using version control systems .
  • Strong competency working in a Linux-based environment .
  • Proven experience automating manual or operationally intensive network processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco DevNet .
  • Experience deploying, operating, or integrating open-source tools in production environments.
  • Experience working with containerization platforms .
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, and Cisco SD-WAN environments.
  • Build automation workflows and policies for network provisioning, configuration management, and security enforcement.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance automated processes to improve scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Increase visibility into network systems and policies through automation and monitoring solutions.
  • Programmatically alert operations teams to conditions requiring immediate attention.
  • Use metrics, telemetry, and logs to assess network health and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and sustainment of automated network infrastructure.
