About The Position

You will be a Systems Engineer - Level 3. What You Will Be Doing As a Systems Engineer - Level 3 your role and responsibilities will include: Leading the development of TCTO projects from design change through delivery of TCTO kits. Serve as the focal point to direct all TCTO activities. Provide oversight and direction; identify and communicate cost, schedule, technical risks; and communicate issues within the scope of the funded project that require cost, schedule and technical relief. Familiar with aircraft modifications and Time Compliance Technical Orders and modification kits. Provide advice on the establishment of maintenance, inspection and training programs designed to improve the quality of maintenance, recommending changes as applicable. Collaborate with cross functional teams from Production Operations, SCM, Engineering, Flight Test, Finance, Business Management, Contracts, Scheduling, Contractor Field Service Representatives, Project/Program Managers, and Configuration Management. Lead cross-functional projects focused on sustainment improvements and cost-reduction initiatives for the U-2 fleet. Prior experience with supply, manufacturing, and/or procurement. Requirements

  • Must hold a Final DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years prior to start.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey level.
  • Experience operating in SAP, Shop Floor Manager, parts tracking, kit management, and Microsoft Office Access Databases
  • Experience in the use and/or interpretation of technical orders and engineering drawings.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of LM processes & procedures
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of Project Management and/or technical skills to lead and conduct analysis of complex sustainment/engineering/supply chain issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet program or project schedule milestones.
  • Successful candidate will have proven logistics experience, Sustainment processes and Aircraft Modification Procedures
  • Previous experience with U-2 aircraft platform preferred not required.
  • Familiarity with Sustainment Processes and Aircraft Modification Procedures.
  • Work and communicate well in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer support experience
