About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team of passionate individuals in Ft. Meade, MD. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. This position is for a System Engineer to support operations and sustainment of a Zero Trust Architecture including documentation to support FVEY Network Support Plans (NSP’s) and 2P partners. The Zero Trust Architecture will include Data Tagging within a data centric Attribution Based Access Control (ABAC) model. The System Engineer will serve as an Ambassador to the IC Community and other partners. As such, the individual is expected to confidently work in a collaborative or independent manner with the team, users, customers, and community partners to solve user issues in a timely manner. Looking for a pro-active candidate to assist in the creation of documentation to describe the inner workings of the 2PGW and to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual components. To be successful, the candidate will need to be familiar with standard system engineering documentation, possess the ability to lead, organize and schedule Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM’s) with internal and external entities, utilize working knowledge to trouble shoot user issues and report information in a meaningful way. The candidate will participate in making process improvement recommendations to create an environment to aimed to increase the usability and accessibility for stakeholders. From the lens of a user, the goal is to improve the 2PGW processes to be more intuitive and indispensable to the user community.

Requirements

  • Possess a working knowledge of some of the following technical areas: System/Network Architecture
  • Ability to analyze access and security protocols
  • Cross Domain Solutions and services
  • IC IE Solutions
  • Operation of forward/ reverse proxies
  • Firewall and network security
  • Technical problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed, and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI with poly
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of 15 years.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
