The role is for a dynamic, energetic Systems Design Engineer to join a growing team. The Systems Design Engineering team encourages continuous technical innovation and career development. As a Systems Design Engineer, the person will drive scalable and automated solutions, using systems engineering expertise to define products, develop solutions, assess root causes, and produce solution resolutions in a high visibility position.

Requirements

  • Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Debug techniques and methodologies
  • Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
  • Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies
  • Experience with Performance and power systems/measures
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering

Responsibilities

  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives
  • Debugging issues found during the SOC (System on a Chip) programs bring-up, validation, and production phases
  • Working with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
  • Working closely with supporting technical teams
  • Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
  • Leading collaborative approaches with multiple teams
