We are seeking a skilled and motivated System/Database Administrator to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. This role is critical in maintaining seamless data flow across the organization while supporting both backend systems and end-user accessibility. The System/Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing systems and databases in a 24/7 production environment. This role ensures optimal system functionality, supports users, and contributes to infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with: Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2019), Active Directory, Office 365.
  • Linux (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server preferred).
  • Veeam Backup & Recovery.
  • SQL databases (SAP HANA SQL preferred).
  • Web/application servers (Tomcat, Nginx).
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Networking (Cisco switches/routers a plus).
  • Scripting (Bash, Perl, Ruby).
  • Experience in a high-availability, 24/7 production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Hands-on approach to technical operations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for equipment installation.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, and crouching.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus.
  • Networking (Cisco switches/routers a plus).
  • Linux (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot physical and virtual Linux and Windows servers.
  • Manage system patching, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Oversee backup systems, off-site storage, and asset inventory.
  • Design, deploy, and manage complex application infrastructures.
  • Monitor and support database operations (backup, restore, replication, clustering).
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues via ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and deploy PCs and servers.
  • Provide user support, training, and technical guidance.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and backup processes.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and collaborate effectively with team members
