About The Position

The Systems Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing complex systems to meet organizational needs and technical requirements. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills to effectively deliver scalable, secure, and innovative system architectures. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and be instrumental in aligning system designs with business goals.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of systems architecture principles, including cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premises solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networks, databases, application frameworks, application servers, and software engineering.
  • Experience with system modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Expertise in integrating software systems and optimizing interoperability.
  • Deep familiarity with security protocols and standards, including disaster recovery and backup processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to finding scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • 5–7 years of experience in system design, system analysis, and IT administration.
  • Prior experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Solutions Architect is essential.
  • Proven experience designing complex IT systems, including cloud architecture (e.g., AWS).
  • Hands-on experience working with programming languages, databases, application servers, and system design frameworks.
  • Demonstrated track record of architecting scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure systems.
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field is required, 15+ years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred to have background in mainframe technologies (z/OS, COBOL)
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is preferred for senior positions.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture Design: Lead the design, development, and deployment of systems architectures for enterprise-level or large-scale technology projects.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and other stakeholders, facilitating cohesive solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective system designs.
  • Technology Assessment: Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance system performance and scalability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system designs, technical specifications, and standards.
  • Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of existing systems with new solutions while minimizing interruptions to business operations.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that system designs adhere to security protocols, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges and develop long-term solutions for improved system performance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders working in IT, software, and business domains.
  • Optimization: Continuously analyze system performance and recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
