About The Position

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Systems Architect III located in Madison, WI. Our client is a government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability. Note: Candidates must be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI within 30 days of the start date at their own expense. (90% remote and 10% onsite). Primarily remote, but candidate must be available to come onsite if needed. ALL WORK MUST BE DONE IN WISCONSIN IMPORTANT NOTES: ALL candidates must be located within the United States. ALL contact information must also be domestic. Absolutely no work outside of the US is allowed. An in-person interview may be required before a final hire is made.The hiring manager has discretion to allow phone or video interviews at any point during the process.

Requirements

  • The technical lead will have experience analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings to the agency (7+ years).
  • The qualified candidate will have experience leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation (7+ years)
  • Expert level system administration skills for Microsoft Windows servers (10+ years)
  • The candidate must have high-level knowledge of Omnissa Horizon and vSphere (5+ years)
  • Expert level experience in the MS Windows server administration including all current supported OS versions. (10 years)
  • Active Directory Group Policy implementation and troubleshooting. (10 years)
  • Expert knowledge in supporting certificate services. (7 years)
  • Expert experience in implementing technology best practices in an organization. (7 years)
  • MS Visio - Proven competencies in documenting infrastructure components for complex systems. (7 years)
  • Expert knowledge in configuring LDAP (7 years)
  • Leading teams and projects (7 years)
  • Expert knowledge of multi-factor authentication services. (5 years)
  • High-level knowledge of Omnissa Horizon and vSphere (5 years)
  • MS Office 365 support - Teams, email, other (3 years)
  • System administrator for MS Azure subscriptions and services (3 years)

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings to the agency.
  • Taking the responsibilities of a leading projects when required and apply various project methodologies to ensure successful delivery while also working directly with the team.
  • Leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation, working with project managers and leadership to set project goals, identifying subject matter experts, providing technical best practices to help in decision making, and the lead technical support for different projects and systems.
  • Provide clear and timely status updates to client management and contribute proactively to the collaboration meetings.
  • Taking ownership of outcomes, recognizes areas for improvement, and fostering a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Manage, monitor, and support our Agency Managed Application Servers.
  • Guiding the team strategically.
  • Creation, support, and maintenance of certificates for our agency core systems, 3rd party integrations, and other authentication or authorization service needs.
