About The Position

The Systems Analyst is a hands-on contributor responsible for administering and supporting the organization’s grant management systems, related third-party tools, and ERP. Partnering with key stakeholders, vendor teams and global project teams, the Systems Analyst perform system maintenance, resolve technical issues, develop reports and dashboards, manage data workflows, gather requirements and implement improvements. This role combines technical execution with collaborative problem-solving to ensure systems effectively meet operational and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Certifications in related field(s) (e.g., Salesforce System Administrator, information systems, business, or computer science), Associate’s Degree, some studies in pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis, project management, with a focus on grant management systems, ERP, and third-party applications.
  • 1-3 years of experience configuring systems or Salesforce system administration.
  • 1-3 years of experience developing and analyzing reports and dashboards.
  • 1-3 years of experience in application support.
  • Proven experience eliciting requirements from business stakeholders through interviews, workshops, process walkthroughs, and working sessions.
  • Familiarity with database structures, ERP tools, and how systems integrate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting).
  • Experience using and configuring dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Highly organized, excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly across diverse, technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and contribute to ongoing learning, process improvement, and optimization.
  • Ability to apply a systems-thinking approach on how different systems connect and interact to support organizational goals and drive operational efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with nonprofit business processes or global development organizations.
  • Salesforce System Administrator certificate.
  • Experience with grant management systems or understanding of grant management function.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and applications.
  • Salesforce Business Analyst and/or Platform App Builder certification.
  • Experience with process automation and workflows in Salesforce.
  • Experience with AmpImpact, Vera Solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server environments
  • Understanding of Azure Data Services ecosystem.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and experience utilizing Jira for work management.
  • Strong knowledge of database structures, ERP tools, and familiarity with how systems integrate.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration and Support (30%)
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the organization’s grant management systems, ERP integrations, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems or escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with vendors and global system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve issues within defined timeframes.
  • Administer, configure, and upgrade multiple Salesforce Platform including 3rd party applications and other business applications.
  • Manage User Account and Licenses
  • Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance of security policies, standards, and practices, including data privacy and acceptable use guidelines.
  • Support grant management business owners by providing technical expertise, maintaining accurate system documentation, and consistent information sharing.
  • In collaboration with Business owners, develop materials and deliver training to users.
  • Track and manage technical requests through platforms like Jira, Asana or ServiceNow.
  • Reporting, Analysis, and Data Extraction (30%)
  • Develop, maintain, and refine organizational reports and dashboards by leveraging data sourced from the ERP and other business applications, including managing or automating data uploads where possible.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, annual data pulls and reporting schedules.
  • Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests and identify opportunities for self-serve tools.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the organization’s data culture and data-driven practices.
  • System Optimization & Continuous Improvement (40%)
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements that help advance ongoing system enhancements.
  • Work with the Grants Management and/or ERP Team to identify, prioritize, and support enhancement and process improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
  • Partner with vendors and global project team to ensure enhancement requests are properly prioritized and to advocate for needed feature enhancements.
  • Contributes to system enhancement planning, testing, documentation, and training, partnering with key stakeholders to test and validate new features and functionalities.
  • Monitor emerging technology trends and vendor future releases to evaluate, apply and recommend enhancements that align with organizational needs.
