About The Position

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures the operational functionality of system releases by focusing on all aspects of system design and engineering/integration Works with NIWC stakeholders, development and support teams to develop and integrate secure capabilities Provisions RHEL and CentOS servers in both physical and virtual environments Integrates a variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open source applications within existing RHEL and CentOS environments Troubleshoots quickly and efficiently in Linux, Windows based environments Researches and recommends innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration and integration tasks

Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Hardware, or Information Technology
  • Ten or more (10+) years’ experience with systems analysis and design
  • Three or more (3+) years’ experience with Sybase, C, C++, X-Win, Linux, Windows and VMWare
  • One or more years’ (1+) experience with Virtual Path Cross-Connect (VPX), Versa Module Eurocard (VME) or Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA)
  • One or more years’ (1+) experience with Local Area Network (LAN) configuration
  • One or more years’ (1+) experience with Machine Learning (ML)
  • Experience with Software Containerization applications such as Docker or Oracle Cloud
  • Experience configuring System/Network security controls
  • SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL

Responsibilities

  • Provisions RHEL and CentOS servers in both physical and virtual environments
  • Integrates a variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and open source applications within existing RHEL and CentOS environments
  • Troubleshoots quickly and efficiently in Linux, Windows based environments
  • Researches and recommends innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration and integration tasks
