Position Responsibilities for Systems Analyst I (Applications/Database) Application Management: Oversee the life cycle of business applications, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations to new platforms. Manage integrations between systems, such as internal and external APIs. Use automation technologies to build and monitor scheduled jobs to improve business workflows and increase productivity. Utilize database tools such as PL/SQL, SSIS, and SSRS to create data extracts and build custom reports. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Participate in system design and architecture discussions. Translate business needs into technical specifications for application enhancements. Maintain accurate technical documentation for all supported systems. Work closely with the Information Security team to implement protective measures for applications. Participate in routine disaster recovery exercises to run applications from a secondary data center location and maintain associated documentation. Application Support: Provide Tier 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to applications. Monitor application performance, identify issues, and implement improvements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Work efficiently with U.S.-based and global vendors. Project Management: Lead or participate in application-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations. Work with IT Project Manager to define project scopes, create project plans, and manage timelines. Responsibilities
