About The Position

Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) Technology is seeking a forward-thinking, ambitious self-starter to serve as a Systems Analyst Associate supporting University Housing. University Housing currently serves over 18,000 students across four Arizona State University campuses and continues to grow steadily. We seek a dynamic individual with a passion for student success, a desire to advance strategic initiatives, and a strong commitment to collaboration. This role reports to Educational Outreach and Student Services technology leadership and works closely with University Housing leadership, Residential College partners, and University constituents to support and implement the dynamic Residential College model through effective and innovative technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Project management for database management, business process development, and technology projects, ensuring project scope, goals, resources, timelines, user needs, validation, testing, and training needs are met
  • Assist University Housing units with forward thinking process improvement and the automation of manual processes, utilizing multiple information technology systems
  • Configure occupancy and other reports and train members of the University Housing leadership team to run these reports
  • Create and distribute weekly occupancy, financial, and ad hoc reports
  • Generate queries according to designated parameters, linking multiple data tables using such software such as pivot tables, Crystal Reports, Redshift, Oracle, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, and Citrix
  • Assist members of the Occupancy Management and Finance teams in troubleshooting incorrect data within reconciliations
  • Audit financial data tables to ensure accuracy
  • Obtain and analyze financial data from multiple University and Housing systems such as the room management software package, Blackboard, PeopleSoft, and Advantage and produce accurate reports for stakeholders.
  • Work with University Housing Finance and Student Business Services staff to coordinate charges and credits between the room management software package, Blackboard, PeopleSoft, and Advantage; run financial reports and billing data from the Conference module
  • Reconcile and verify that financial data is accurate across relevant software applications and correct any errors
  • Collaborate with various levels of information technology staff with functions in business process management, data collection, access control, student accounts, web development, and work order management
  • Represent University Housing on university-wide committees and task forces and act as the University Housing liaison and subject matter expert on business processes with relevant information technology external partners
  • Collaborate with agencies outside the department to develop common goals and compatibility of objectives while minimizing redundant efforts and providing systematic seamless business operation functions
  • Assist with development and maintenance of internal systems, applications, and tools to facilitate systematic process improvements, upgrades, and enhancements with internal and external partners
  • Assist with identification, creation, and implementation of innovative and dependable systemic solutions by utilizing a variety of research gathering methods including, but not limited to, interviews, requirement gathering meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, process descriptions, scenarios, workflow analysis, etc.
