As a Systems Administrator at Kitware , you will play a vital role on the Systems Administration team, working closely with teammates in supporting critical infrastructure used by Kitware's research and development engineers and support staff across a diverse range of projects. Requirements

  • Due to contractual requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, along with the willingness and ability to obtain, use, and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in an IT-related field, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent amount of education and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Security+ or willingness to successfully obtain required certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux system administration and Active Directory management
  • Experience working alongside software development teams
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Support end-user hardware and software (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Participate in the support of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows server infrastructure
  • Support regulated and customer-sponsored computing environments, including environments subject to security clearance, as needed
  • Assist in administering device management systems (Active Directory, JAMF, Puppet)
  • Provide support for virtual infrastructure (VMware), cloud-computing services (AWS), and various cloud service providers
  • Maintain backup infrastructure (Veeam)
  • Configure networking, including firewalls, wireless networks, VPN tunnels, and VLANs
  • Make recommendations on new system purchases (end-user and infrastructure)
  • Maintain documentation in support of new technologies and applications
