About The Position

Concept Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the FAA. The FAA’s E-OSE initiative integrates emerging technology and cybersecurity controls into a shared enterprise platform that enables modernization of NAS system hosting and support services. Hosted at MMAC and WJHTC, E-OSE provides shared virtualization, networking, and DevSecOps capabilities.

The Systems Administrator will serve as a senior technical lead responsible for systems architecture alignment, configuration strategy, and cross-platform compatibility design. The candidate will guide the development and deployment of virtualization environments using VMware and participate in the engineering of secure connectivity frameworks, integration of automation platforms, and coordination of system-to-system communication protocols. This role involves collaborating with FAA engineers to evaluate hardware/software migration strategies, assess risk in deployment scenarios, and provide technical consultation on emerging infrastructure needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of advanced engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, or related discipline
• Extensive background in designing enterprise-level systems architecture that meets mission needs, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing VMware virtualization platforms for enterprise infrastructure.
• Knowledge in engineering secure network architectures including VPNs, DMZs, and encrypted communication channels to support protected data flow.
• Capability to integrate CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation tools, and orchestration platforms such as Ansible, Jenkins, or GitLab for system provisioning and maintenance.
• Experience designing, documenting, and testing system-to-system interfaces including APIs, data schemas, and exchange protocols for interoperable operations.
• Demonstrated collaboration with FAA stakeholders including engineers, system owners, and program managers to guide infrastructure planning and execution.
• Competence in evaluating system risks related to performance, security, and availability, and recommending mitigation strategies as part of system engineering reviews.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
