Technica Corporation is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, self-directed individual to fill the Air Force Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) Systems Administrator position. The System Administrator will manage all compute and storage systems, applications, and databases supported by the program, including physical and virtual systems spanning several domains and security enclaves. This position will assist with installing, configuring, integrating, securing, and testing various systems to support a program. The work will include supporting interoperability testing, hosting and storage infrastructure, system maintenance, security, patch management, hardware maintenance, etc., while ensuring the program environment operates securely and at peak efficiency. The position will be based in Sterling, VA, or at other select locations as required by the contract. When the program transitions to the NOC / ITF, this position may be located at that facility, to be determined at a later date. This job may support a hybrid work schedule. The final approved work schedule arrangement will be coordinated with the hiring manager. This position may require 10%-20% travel.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
  • High School degree with 8 years related experience, or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 2 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certifications and specific skillsets: Windows OS, UNIX OS, Vulnerability Management, Identity Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), SmartCard authentication using Public-Key Infrastructure, Active Directory Undertanding of general system interoperability in a LAN/WAN Environment
  • Security + or equivalent IAT Level II certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide installation, configuration, integration, and hardening of physical and virtual hosting infrastructure, storage, and applications to operate and manage network environments.
  • Provide system administration support for our Network Integration Lab, Integration Test Facility, and Network Operations Centers.
  • Administer Core Services (including administration of user accounts, passwords, permissions, access control lists, email, chat, and other server or network services).
  • Perform client systems administration duties as required to support personnel.
  • Maintain virtual environment, servers, and clients, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of all external links.
  • Monitor systems and applications for acceptable performance and user accessibility.
  • Establish backups and monitor site security.
  • Responsible for configuration management documentation.
  • Responsible for applying security lockdowns in accordance with DoD policy and security guidance.
